EC-Earth Consortium semi-annual meeting – November 2026
Time: November 23-27 (the meeting will not last for the whole week, but sessions will occur throughout the week)
Location: Online meeting
This meeting will focus on
- EC-Earth4: model configurations, evaluations and preparation for CMIP7 (AFT);
- Assessment of the new CMIP7 AFT simulations using EC-Earth3-ESM-1-1;
- Dedicated session to discuss EC-Earth papers
We welcome presentations regarding:
- EC-Earth4 development: configurations and components
- EC-Earth4 evaluations
- First assessment of EC-Earth3-ESM-1-1 CMIP7 AFT experiments
As in the past online meetings, each WG will organize a session of about 2-3 hours that are relevant for the corresponding component of the model or topic. The agenda of the session will be organized by the WG/TT lead/co-lead and may include (but not limited to):
- Talks that addressing the physical and technical implementation/impacts of the relevant processes/parameterizations;
- Open discussions on any remaining issues to be addressed EC-Earth4 development
- Guidelines/traing for preparation and EC-Earth4 CMIP7 AFT experiments.
We encourage you to suggest any discussing issues/topics for discussions when you register, or contact the Steering Group (sy@dmi.dk) and/or the relevant Working Group leaders.
